Pass Plus

Once you have passed your driving test, you can take a Pass Plus course with Town & Country Driving.

Pass Plus is a programme designed by the DVSA with contributions from the insurance and driving instruction sectors. The aim of the scheme is to build the confidence of newly qualified drivers, and once completed it may help reduce the cost of your car insurance.

We offer Pass Plus tuition for recently qualified drivers (preferably within 12 months of qualifying). We will help you gain the confidence, the positive driving attitude, and skills in different types of environments that the course provides.

We either cover the whole syllabus in one session, or in 2 or 3 parts. The time needed to complete the Pass Plus is a minimum of 6 hours.

The modules that are covered under the syllabus are:

  • Module 1 (Part 1) - Introduction
  • Module 1 (Part 2) - Town Driving
  • Module 2 - All Weather Driving
  • Module 3 - Out of Town Driving and Rural Roads
  • Module 4 - Night Driving
  • Module 5 - Dual Carriageways
  • Module 6 - Motorways

There is no test at the end of the course, So as long as you show your instructor you can be safe in all of the above you will pass the course.

The cost of the course is £150. Why not ask your insurance company how much you can save on your 1st year's premium (this can be over £300 sometimes).
